Gateway United’s captain, Sanni Olarewanju Jamiu, shared his thoughts on the match in a post-game interview with Sports247.

He expressed satisfaction with the result, stating, “I think this game is a well-deserved result, though we came here for three points, where the game goes either way, which is a good result on our side.”

Jamiu also made a promise to his supporters from Abeokuta, assuring them of a stronger performance in their next game. “Our next coming game, we see coming out to win,” he said. He acknowledged that the first half of the season did not favor them, but expressed optimism about the team’s prospects after reshuffling.

Discussing the match’s progression, Jamiu said, “In the first step, we come out very well. We didn’t get to go early, so it set the pressure on our side. In the second half, we made some changes, we got it right again, but we didn’t get the goal.”

Despite the goalless draw, the team’s spirit remains undeterred. With a reshuffled team and a renewed strategy, Gateway United is looking forward to their next match with determination and optimism.
