NNL: Abia Comets Midfielder Okechukwu Reveals Hopes Of A Positive Away Win Performance ahead Of Sunday’s Clash In Uyo

Abia Comets FC Maestro midfielder, Okechukwu Chukwu, has revealed hope of a positive result ahead of Sunday’s clash against Vandrezzer FC, in the 2023/2024 Nigeria National League (NNL) Southern Conference A.

The encounter, which is a Matchday 12 will take place on Sunday, March 3, 2024, at the Uyo Township Stadium. Which is also the first game in the second stanza of the season.

Abia Comets FC, had an impressive six games unbeaten run in the first eleven (11) games during the first stanza of the campaign. Will also be hoping to Extend the impressive unbeaten run to seven games when they battle against Vandrezzer FC On Sunday.

The Uyo based club, held Comets to a 2-2 draw, at the Umuahia Township Stadium, in the final game of the first stanza of the season.

Speaking with Abia Comets Media, shortly after the team training session, at the Holy Ghost College pitch, Comets’ Maestro midfielder, Okechukwu, expressed that the team is in high spirits and are prepared to get a positive result in Uyo on Sunday.

” Yes, the spirit is high and we are eager to prove our worth against Vandrezzer FC on Sunday, he told Abia Comets Media.

” We are really ready and motivated to get a positive result and we understand what is at stake because it is the first game of the second stanza.”

” So, it is important that we start on a positive note, I believe that we are going to give all our arsenal in other to get the needed result on Sunday.

The Umuahia-born midfielder, who has been one of the top standout performer in the team, revealed that the team will correct the mistake they made in the first encounter against Vandrezzer FC, few weeks ago.

” Yes, it’s true that the held us to a 2-2 at home which wasn’t a good game for us. And at the end of the day, we were all disappointed because of the two points we dropped at home.”

” But ahead of Sunday’s clash, the team is ready and focused. Because we have been training all week in preparation for the Vandrezzer clash. And I believe that we are going to get a positive result on Sunday, Okechukwu concluded.

Comets will be hoping to maintain on its unbeaten with a good team performance against Vandrezzer FC, in other to extend the run to seven games in the 2023/2024 Nigeria National League (NNL) season.
