NLO 2022/2023 PROMOTION PLAY-OFF: ‘We Will Respect Our Opponent But We Are Going To Strike Them Hard’, Gafari Mohammed Toughens Up Ahead Of NNL Ticket Decider Tie Against Beyond Limits

The two group winners as scheduled will face-off tomorrow at the Osogbo Township Stadium by 3pm for a spot in the Nigeria National League (NNL) next season.

Reminiscing back at how the season began in an exclusive interview with Sports247.ng, Gafari Mohammed said, “normally, it sounds like an herculean task but we remain focused and keep on going. It’s football, it’s either you win or lose. So whenever you lose, you have to pick yourself together, correct the grey areas and improve and get better.”

“So far so good this year, it has been working perfectly fine for us , we started work in progress from January to now, we kept on pushing then we set a goal for ourselves and we were able to pick the play-off ticket of our group,” he stated.

“It’s not yet all done as we still have a big task, one game can either make or mar you. We have played nine games, the remaining one game is much more important than the nine games we have played and that is why we are looking towards the game,” Gafari allayed of the game coming up against Beyond Limits FA tomorrow.

“It has been a very hectic run of games, our group is very tough because we have twenty-two points likewise another team has the same point but the goal difference gave us the edge.”

“We have teams that have nineteen points, eighteen points to show how competitive the group is and the quality of teams there.”

“I commend all the teams that participated in this NLO, the grassroots football is growing and it’s developing. Big Shout-outs to the officiating officials, they are getting better by the day and we can only hope for more,” he lauded.

Speaking on what should be expected ahead of the game against Beyond Limit FA;

“It’s going to be a very interesting game, we will have to respect them because it’s not easy for them to pick their group ticket and it’s wasn’t easy for us either.”

“Equally, both teams have a chance. All we just need to do is to be disciplined, tactical and take the game to them and hopefully by striking them, we can get the ticket.”
