In a display of sheer determination and skill, Nigeria’s women’s basketball team, the D’Tigress, extended their remarkable winning streak in Africa by defeating Mozambique in the 2023 FIBA Women’s AfroBasket Quarter-Finals with a score of 59-52.

The hard-fought victory has earned them a spot in the Semi-Finals, where they will face the tournament’s hosts, Rwanda.

Throughout the game, Mozambique showcased their prowess and led at halftime, but Nigeria refused to back down. In a thrilling turnaround, Nigeria outscored Mozambique 18-10 in the third quarter, securing a crucial win that keeps their dreams of a fourth consecutive AfroBasket title alive.
