2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup: Tonna Oguzie Ofuasia Congratulates Super Falcons Knock-out Stage Berth, Charges Them Not To Relent Ahead Of Knock-out Game Against England

Randy Waldrum’s side secured a knockout spot following the goalless draw against Republic of Ireland to set up a mouthwatering round 16 clash against England.

“We believe in our girls and they didn’t fail us. Watching their game against Canada with the goalkeeper making that crucial penalty save gives the hope that we might go all the way to the every end of the competition,” she said in an exclusive interview with Sports247.ng.

“The second game against Australia that we won is still been celebrated by many Nigeria fans around the globe up till now, the jubilation is one to cherish forever.”

“I could remember that day, I declared free drinks for some of our clients that came into our suite in Ikeja, Adeniji Jones and the one at Ogba because I was so glad to see our girls produce that wonderful performance and with the draw yesterday, we had a lot of celebration to do,” she added.

Advising them as they go into the next knock out game against England, she enjoined that they shouldn’t let down their guard as the look to seal a spot in the last eight.

“My word to them is that they should remain focused knowing fully well that we are behind them. My organization and everything behind us is solidly supporting them. With prayers and hardwork, we will keep moving towards the big goal before us,” she concluded.
