Nigerian talents Ikechukwu George and Obinna have officially completed their moves to Armenian side FC Lernayin Artsakh, beginning a new chapter of their football careers in the South Caucasus.
The two youngsters will compete in the Armenian First League, the country’s second tier, as they look to gain valuable experience and establish themselves in Armenian football.
Both players arrive with ambitions of making an immediate impact for the Lernayinner, with their sights firmly set on delivering strong performances and helping the club achieve its objectives throughout the season.
For George and Obinna, the move represents another important step in their development as they take their talents outside Nigeria and embrace the challenge of playing in a new football environment.
Speaking after completing the move, George said:
“This is an exciting opportunity for me. I know there will be a lot to learn, but I’m ready for the challenge. I want to work hard, improve every day and give everything I can to help the team.”
Obinna also spoke about his ambitions for the new chapter:
“I’m grateful for this opportunity and looking forward to what comes next. My goal is to settle in quickly, compete at a high level and make a positive contribution to the team. Hopefully, this will be the beginning of something special.”
Their arrival adds two Nigerian talents to the Armenian football landscape and provides both players with an opportunity to continue developing their careers in Europe.
Now based in Sisian, South Caucasus, George and Obinna will turn their attention to adapting to their new surroundings and preparing for the challenges ahead.
For the Nigerian duo, the journey continues with a new country, a new league and a fresh opportunity to prove themselves.
