Oladeji Oluwabunmi Cynthia and Blessed Isigbo Begin New Chapter in Turkey

Nigerian women’s football talents Oladeji Oluwabunmi Cynthia and Blessed Isigbo have officially completed their move to Turkish side Kayseri Kadın Futbol Kulübü, marking an exciting new chapter in their careers.

The duo arrive from the Nigeria Women’s Football League (NWFL), having developed their careers in the Nigerian domestic game before earning the opportunity to continue their football journey in Europe.

Both players are set to compete in the Turkish Kadın Futbol Süper Ligi, Turkey’s top-flight women’s football division, where they will have the opportunity to test themselves against some of the country’s best players and clubs.

For Cynthia and Blessed, the move represents an important step forward as they look to gain valuable experience, adapt to a new football environment and establish themselves in Turkish women’s football.

The Nigerian duo will now begin life with Kayseri, popularly known as Anadolu Yıldızı, with both players determined to contribute to the club’s ambitions throughout the season.

Speaking after completing the move, Cynthia said:

“This is a very important step in my career, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to continue my journey in Turkey. I’m ready to work hard, learn from the experience and give everything I have whenever I’m called upon. I want to make my family and everyone who has supported me proud.”

Blessed also spoke about the new challenge ahead:

“I’m excited to start this new chapter. Moving to another country comes with challenges, but that is part of what makes the opportunity special. I’m ready to work, improve every day and help the team achieve its goals.”

Their move also represents another pathway for players from the NWFL to gain international exposure and pursue opportunities in European football.

The successful transfer was made possible with the support and efforts of Sunny BK and Francis Osigbemhe, who played an important role in facilitating the move.

Now based in İç Anadolu Bölgesi (Central Anatolia), Cynthia and Blessed will turn their attention to settling into their new surroundings and preparing for the challenges of top-flight Turkish football.

For the two Nigerian players, the message is clear: a new country, a new league and a fresh opportunity to prove themselves on the European stage.

BUNMI CYNTHIA & BLESSED HAVE ARRIVED!

The next chapter begins in Turkey.
