Nigeria Head of Mission In Tunisia Boosts Rivers United Morale Ahead Of Club Africain Clash

Hakeem Oladepo Falusi, Nigeria’s Head of Mission in Tunisia in a show of support and encouragement, paid a motivating visit to the players and officials of Rivers United at their hotel.

This visit comes on the eve of their match against Club Africain in the CAF Confederation’s Cup.

Accompanied by Olu Mustapha, Head of Chancery in the Embassy of Nigeria in Tunis, Falusi visited the team at Hotel Ez-Zahra Dar Tunis.

The purpose of the visit was to boost the morale of the team ahead of their crucial encounter with Tunisian opponents, Club Africain, scheduled to take place at the 60,000-capacity Stade de Rades.

During the visit, Falusi was warmly welcomed by key figures of Rivers United, including General Manager Dr. Okey Kpalukwu, Secretary Ahmed Abdulrahman, Technical Manager Stanley Eguma, and NFF representative Ali Cairo.

The General Manager expressed gratitude for the visit, recognizing its potential to inspire the team.

Falusi, while urging the Pride of Rivers to secure a victory against Club Africain, emphasized that they are representing Nigeria in Tunisia.

He conveyed, “You also have the country behind you. The flag you are flying is also a Nigeria flag now. It’s not only your state that will be proud of you; Nigeria will also be proud of your victory.”

The Head of Mission’s visit aimed not only to express solidarity but also to ensure the team’s well-being and address logistical concerns.

He emphasized the importance of avoiding issues that could distract the team from their focus on the game.

In response, team captain Nyima Nwagua expressed gratitude for the hospitality and noted the players’ joy at the presence of embassy officials upon their arrival at the airport.

He assured Falusi that the team is determined not to let the nation down and is ready for the upcoming challenge.
