Among the illustrious lineup is Nigerian midfield maestro Augustine ‘Jay-Jay’ Okocha, a legendary figure in African football.

Okocha, who played a pivotal role in Nigeria’s victory in the 1994 Africa Cup of Nations, will represent his nation and contribute to social activations around the tournament. His inclusion adds a significant touch of nostalgia and experience to the event.

Okocha is joined by other iconic figures, each representing their respective nations. The Ivorian duo of Didier Drogba and Salomon Kalou, both with rich histories in continental football, will proudly represent the host nation.

Senegal will find comfort in the presence of former captain Mamadou Niang, while Egypt’s four-time AFCON winner Ahmed Hassan adds to the stellar cast.

Other legends include Christopher Katongo from Zambia, Stephen Appiah from Ghana, and Siphiwe Tshabalala, the first player to score in Africa’s inaugural FIFA World Cup in 2010, representing South Africa.

This star-studded lineup of CAF Legends not only elevates the tournament’s profile but also connects fans with the rich history and heritage of African football.
