Michael Babatunde Seeks National Team Recall

Wydad Casablanca of Morocco midfielder, Michael Babatunde is seeking a recall to the Super Eagles, as he believes he still has a lot to offer the Nigerian national team.

Babatunde, who twinkled brilliantly against Argentina at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, stated in an exclusive interview with sports247.ng that he is still on top of his game.

Having watched the team line out for key matches in recent times, the shining light of Brazil 2014 said his ability and quality is still needed in the Eagles’ midfield.

Babatunde said he can fix the midfield problems of the Eagles especially now that skipper of the side, John Mikel Obi is getting closer to taking his retirement from the national team.

“I know I can help the Super Eagles’ midfield once again. I can see that our captain, Mikel Obi is no longer regular in his appearances for the national team due to injury. I can fill in for him,” Babatunde disclosed.
