Lookman’s Fight For Full Fitness Continues – Coach

Everton of England winger, Ademola Lookman continues his fight to attain full fitness in order to play in The Toffees’ next match, but the prospects appear bleak.

Sports247.ng can report that this is the terse verdict of The Toffees’ coach, Marco Silva, who revealed that the London-born winger has been out of the squad because of injury.

Lookman, who had appeared in eleven matches in this season’s English Premier League, has been out for two weeks and was missing from the 5-1 win away to Burnley on Boxing Day.

Before then, the England U21 star was also not in the match day squad against Tottenham Hotspur on December 23, but the Nigerian-born lad has been in the starting line-up only once – against Newcastle United.

Things may become tougher for Lookman, as Silva disclosed that there is no specific timescale for the player’s return to action and he is doubtful for their next Premier League match against Brighton on Saturday.

Silva revealed: ”He wasn’t able to play. He hasn’t started training with the team yet.

”It is possible for the next match but it won’t be easy but let’s see about the other one. Let’s see in the next few days.”
