KG Sports Foundation Holds Coaching Clinic, U15 Tourney With David Stockbrink Support

KG Sports Foundation is holding a football Coaching course for grassroots coaches in Delta North Senatorial District this weekend.

This was revealed by the CEO of KG Sports Foundation Dr. Ken Gadaffi Gabriel in a WhatsApp chat on Thursday.

The erudite Sports Administrator who is a senior lecturer of Acleda Institute of Business in Cambodia states that the course is an introduction to coaching to enable grassroots coaches in the region to enter the profession.

“I have noticed that many coaches at the grassroots level lack the basic Foundational training, they just bring boys together and call themselves coaches without proper certification. This is not right” he stated..

“The KGS Management football Coaching Course will thus provide the coaches the opportunity to learn the rudiments of coaching and a pathway for them to pursue their coaching Licences” he added

About 20 Coaches from Agbor, Asaba, Umunede, and Warri have registered for the program.

The course will be delivered by Seasoned Trainers and coaching Education experts including Coach Eldred Sunju-Abbey the President.

African Coaches Connect, Coach Emeka Okwutu the Chairmans of Delta North Football Coaches Council, and Coach Dare Ajayi the Training Officer Oshimili Coaches Society and Provost of the Delta Football Coaches Associations.

The Course started on the 1st with online components and assessment and will climax on the 8th with the practical component.

On the sideline of the Course is the KG Sports U15 Tournament with 5 teams taking part.

KG Sports, Ultimate Stars, Sharp Striker, Green Rangers and Superfly.

Meanwhile, German-based David Stockbrink has supported the Tournament with prizes for the Tournament. The FC Monglabach Sensation has donated the trophy for the winners along with cash awards for individual outstanding players and coaches.

“This is our own little way of supporting the good works of KG Sports Foundation in developing young talents. We wish all the coaches and players good luck and all the best” Mrs Augustina Stockbrink, mother of David Stockbrink said via a WhatsApp message.

In addition Poordoge.net, an animal protection and charity organisation has offered each participating coach 168m PDoge coins (#3500 each) in support of their logistics to the Event.
