The 2025 Nigeria Beach Soccer League (NBSL) Super Finals is set for a blockbuster climax as defending champions Kebbi Fishers BSC and the in-form Anambra Beach Soccer Warriors booked their spots in the grand finale following thrilling semifinal victories at Jabi Lake Park, Abuja, on Saturday.
In what many fans have described as one of the most dramatic matchdays in the tournament’s history, both semifinals delivered goals, comebacks, and electric moments that left the crowd on their feet.

The reigning champions Kebbi Fishers showcased the heart of true contenders in a gripping Kebbi Derby, coming from behind to edge Kebbi United BSC 5–4 in a nine-goal thriller.
Despite trailing 3–1 midway through the encounter, the Fishers stormed back with an inspired performance led by Hamza Manga, who bagged a brace, while Yahaya Jibrin, Taiwo Adams, and Hassan Abdullahi completed the turnaround.
For United, Umar Sadik’s hat-trick and Umar Aliyu’s goal highlighted a spirited effort that narrowly fell short.
The second semifinal saw Anambra Beach Soccer Warriors deliver a statement of intent, outclassing 2022 champions Kada BSC 4–2.
Goals from Miracle Momoh, Prosper Peter, Ekunjimi Eganosi, and captain Gabriel Chinweze sealed the Nnewi-based side’s first-ever final appearance.
Despite strikes from Benjamin Bawa and veteran Victor Tale, Kada could not stop the Warriors’ dominant display.
Elsewhere, Ibom BSC secured fifth place after a hard-fought 3–2 win over Jigawa Golden Stars BSC, thanks to a brace from Emmanuel Okon and a goal from Uwana Aniete. Hamza Bagudu’s double for Jigawa proved insufficient.
The day’s excitement was amplified by a historic women’s exhibition match, where Naija Ratels FC edged Generation Next FA 4–3 on penalties after a 2–2 draw, further underscoring the growing presence of women’s beach soccer in Nigeria.
With the stage now set, all roads lead to Sunday’s grand finale — a clash of champions versus challengers.
Kebbi Fishers, chasing a record-extending fourth NBSL title, will lock horns with Anambra Warriors, hungry for their maiden crown.
Fans can expect fireworks on the sands of Abuja as experience meets ambition in the ultimate battle for supremacy.
