JKF YOUTH CUP: 16 boys, 8 female teams set to battle for honours

Ekiti State Football Association, the organizers of the JKF U15 boys and girls football tournament have released the list of registered teams expected to participate in the tournament.

According to the release signed by the Chairman of the tournament’s organizing committee, Kolawole Owoseni, while the boys’ teams would be representatives of the 16 local government areas of Ekiti state, the 8 female teams are clubsides invited from within and outside of the state.

” Everything is almost set for the first edition of the JKF Youth Cup. We have successfully completed the screening processes for the participating teams. That was a very important and critical aspect of the competition in line with our mission and vision for youth development,” he said.

The tournament which has also received the official supports of the Governor of Ekiti State, Dr. John Kayode Fayemi, the State Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs and all the 16 Chairmen of the Local Government in the state as well as other MDAs in the state is expected to kick off on November 22, 2019, across five different centres in the state.

The boys’ teams include Ijero local government, Ado local government, Oye local government, Ekiti West local government, Gbonyin local government, Ekiti East local government, Ikole local government.

Others are, Irepodun/Ifelodun local government, Ikere Ekiti local government, Ise/Orun local government, Ekiti South- West local government, Ido/Osi local government, Efon local government and Moba local government.

The female teams include Dynamic Queens, Ikorodu, Lagos; Salem City Queens FC, Oye Ekiti; EKSU Lionesses,Iworoko Ekiti; Agbana Wonderful Academy, Ado- Ekiti, FC Phoenix Queens, Apapa- Iganmu, Lagos; Fawekun Queens, Ido- Ekiti; Fatoba Queens FC, Ado- Ekiti and Oba Ajakaye Memorial Soccer Academy, Iyin- Ekiti.
