Isolation is not new to me, Anthony Joshua says, as he get set for his bout

As events gradually unfolds and the next boxing bout very uncertain, Anthony Joshua keeps getting ready and training very hard awaiting who is next to come toe to toe with him in the boxing ring.

The WBA, IBF, WBO and IBO world heavyweight champion is not leaving any stone unturned as he is eager to defend his world tittles or possibly unify all world tittles. But the outbreak of the covid19 pandemic has largely slowed down the ambition of the Nigerian descent. The Nigerian-British boxer last week told pundits- “It is such a shame that I am quarantine right now as it has put a halt to greatness, but this is part of history and I am working towards beating Tyson Fury. I am looking at Tyson Fury like I am going to walk through him as well. I had my issue last year [losing to Andy Ruiz], I got through it and I want to correct it.”

He further explained that why he would love to tackle Fury is that he may not have the opportunity to do that again. Both boxer collectively holds all five world tittles with Joshua holding four and his British compatriot having the WBC tittle. As it stands, all bouts are on hold till the world overcomes the pandemic. So this could be the result of Joshua’s relentless trainings in this isolation period.

Joshua has taken to his official instagram page commenting “isolation ain’t new to me” , fully kitted in his boxing outfit and looking all fit for a battle.

As Joshua looks forward to seeing the world overcome the pandemic and the defence of his tittle, his fight with Fury will still have to wait because both parties have mandatory challengers as the world look forward eagerly for the trilogy between Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder.
