Cynosure boss Shina Afolabi was proud of his players after they lost 1-0 to Ottasolo in day 6 of the Governor Wike Pre Season Tournament on Wednesday.
A Solomon Ogberahwe’s goal ensured that the ambitious Lagos side picked three points against Cynosure who had two goals disallowed for offside, and the Cynosure Coach was delighted with his men.
“I want to thank all the players,” he noted post-match. “They put in some tremendous work. For a lot of the time, we were superior to them and created lots of opportunities.
“We tried to give more players game time and see what they can offer. It was a shame not to get the win that would have been fully deserved. A match against Ottasolo was always going to be tricky, but we tried our best by playing well.
“If we had been a bit more successful in front of goal and had not found their backline in great form, then we could have won.
“Regardless of the outcome though, I am very satisfied with what I’ve seen from my team.”
