Team360 FC manager Shola Raji has revealed his strong belief in his players. In the aftermath of his side’s 2-1 win over Ajuwa FA in round five of the 2021 Fusion Football Championship, Raji spoke highly of his players for executing the game plan against their rivals.
“The game between Team360 and Ajuwa FA has always been a rivalry,” Raji told Sports247. “The last time we met them I think it was a draw. Due to that, we have gone to watch their tactics and I was able to neutralize all I think I’ve watched in their last game.
“We were able to get the maximum points which are very good. I give kudos to my boys for being able to play the tactics that we have been practicing in training sessions for a couple of days now. It is really a wonderful one for us.”
Team360 started off its FFC campaign in a disappointing manner, losing their first three matches of the league. However, the team has rallied back to win two matches in a row.
“I so much believe in my boys. We lost some players to marketing which is the best thing in grassroots development. But I kept encouraging them that they should not allow pressure to be on them.
“I told them ‘go in there and play your game let me absorb the pressure’. Whatever pressure that is coming from the management, the fans, and everybody just leaves it to me. I am experienced enough to handle it. And it has been a very good one for the boys and myself.” Raji said.
