Fusion Football Championship: Chekas United Coach Bob Benson Rues Team Missed Chances In Barren Draw Against SGH Academy

Chekas United head coach, Bob Benson has rued his team missed chances in the barren draw against SGH Academy in the resumption of the Fusion Football Championship today.

The ongoing Fusion League Football Championship, one of the best grassroots competition is Nigeria entered it’s week two today being April 1st 2023 and the first game was the game between New York FC up against Sporting FA.

Both sides had hosts of clear cut chances but none of them could take it as they ended up sharing the spoils in a nervy contest, Sports247.ng writes.

“It was a good game, both sides played but you know in football, if you don’t take your chances, at the end, you end up loosing or getting a draw,” he lamented in his pressers after the game.

“We had host of chances from both sides but none of us took it. It was a very nice game especially in the first game, lots of positives.”

“You know the league has been on break for sometime and this is the first matchday since the resumption as it kind of in a way had an effect on us but sometimes, it’s like that maybe in next games, we will get it right.

“My players aren’t match rusty. There’s a difference between playing league and friendly matches. When you start a season and then go off to start playing friendly matches, you will feel relaxed.”

On his team ambition in the league, “every team and every coach that goes into a league or a tournament hopefully wants to win. I hope my team progresses with the league and at the end of the day, we win the league and if we don’t, it’s not all lost,” he emphasized.
