Under the guidance of head coach Akeem Busari, the Flamingos have now settled at the Remo Stars Sports Institute, where the technical crew has stepped up tactical and fitness drills ahead of the crucial first leg later this month.
According to the team’s media officer, Enerayo Dorcas, the Flamingos will begin full training in Ikenne on Monday evening as preparations enter the final phase.
The Nigerian side spent close to one month camping in Abuja, training at the Goal Project facility while lodged at Serob Legacy Hotel.
During that period, the Flamingos impressed in a series of friendly matches, recording four wins and one draw.
The team displayed remarkable attacking quality throughout the warm-up fixtures, scoring 28 goals while conceding only three.
Among the notable results were a 6-0 victory over Generation Next, a 7-0 triumph against Nazareth Queens, and a 7-2 win against YAFA U15 Boys.
Several players have stood out during the preparatory games, including Oluebube Umejiaku, who recently netted a hat-trick in one of the test matches.
The Flamingos will face Guinea in the first leg of the qualifier on May 24 in Conakry before hosting the return leg at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne on May 30.
The aggregate winners will progress to the final qualifying round in July as teams continue the race for places at the 2026 FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup in Morocco.
