The Female Yellow-Greens responded to their opening setback against Brazil with a commanding seven-wicket win over Zimbabwe Women High Performance.

“It was a great response from the team,” Eseigbe said.

According to the Nigerian captain, the players refused to allow the disappointment of the earlier defeat affect their confidence heading into the second match.

“We stayed positive despite the setback,” she implied.

Eseigbe, who was named Player of the Match after claiming three wickets and scoring 17 runs, credited the victory to the fighting spirit displayed by the entire squad.

“The team showed resilience and never gave up,” she noted.

The skipper also thanked Nigerian supporters for their encouragement throughout the tournament.

“The support from Nigerians means a lot to us,” she added.

Eseigbe admitted that fatigue could have affected the team after a demanding day of action but praised the players for maintaining their focus.

“It was a tough day physically and mentally, but we stayed strong,” she stressed.

The captain revealed that Nigeria approached the Zimbabwe clash with confidence while maintaining respect for their opponents.

“We knew Zimbabwe had quality players, but we believed in ourselves,” she said.

The victory has boosted Nigeria’s campaign and reinforced belief within the squad as the tournament progresses.

“The Female Yellow-Greens continue to show strong character under pressure,” many cricket observers believe.

The team remains focused on building momentum and achieving more positive results in Kigali.

For Favour Eseigbe, the message is clear.

Resilience helped Nigeria bounce back.

Team spirit remains a major strength.

And the Female Yellow-Greens are determined to keep fighting for success.

Because strong teams are often defined by how they respond to disappointment and adversity.
