Favour Ashe Hits Back At Critics, Declares: I’ve Proven My Worth

Fast-rising Nigerian sprinter, Favour Oghenetejiri Ashe is relizshing his performance at the World Relays in Gaborone, Botswana and declared he was happy with the opportunity he got to prove his worth, Sports247 reports.

While affirming that he has already turned his focus on trying to win gold at the upcoming African Senior Athletics Championships in Accra, Ghana, the 24-year-old athlete from Delta State said he feels personally satisfied already.

The enterprising sprinter, who attended Otovwodo Grammar School in Ughelli, Delta State, from where he moved to University of Tennessee in the USA, is also glad that he helped Nigeria qualify for the 2027 World Athletics Championships with a new African record.

With that achievement still fresh in his mind, Ashe is now thinking big towards the CCA Championship, which will start on May 12th, with 1,000 ahead of which the hugely ambitious sprinter says he is happy to be in top form.

“I’m in good shape. My goal in Accra is to win gold in the 100m and help the team secure gold in the relays. I’ve proven my worth and I give all the glory to God for making it possible,” Ashe submitted.
