Ethan Nwaneri’s Expected Return To Arsenal May Not Materialise

A much-expected return to Arsenal of England by Nigerian-born winger, Ethan Nwaneri may not materialise after all, as The Gunners are reportedly ready to offload the youngster this summer.

Sports247 gathered that, with Nwaneri failing to hit full throttle so far during his season-long loan spell at Olympique Marseille of France, Arsenal’s top shots have considered him surplus to requirements at Emirates Stadium.

Consequently, Nwaneri is set to be shipped out along with four other players who are struggling to find their feet at the highly ambitious London-based English Premier League title-chasing outfit.

Transfers expert, Fabrizio Romano disclosed that Chelsea and Borussia Dortmund still hold ‘strong interest’ in Nwaneri, who Arsenal are ready to sell alongside Ben White, Myles Lewis-Skelly, Gabriel Jesus and Gabriel Martinelli.

A report by TeamTalk added, “Ethan Nwaneri and Ben White are among five players Arsenal could offload this summer to help bring in new signings, with Atletico Madrid striker, Julian Alvarez a top target.

“Arsenal spent over £250 million last summer to sign eight new players, including Martin Zubimendi, Viktor Gyokeres, Noni Madueke and Eberechi Eze. However, they are planning another big summer at the end of the current campaign.”
