Enyimba can’t afford to miss out of Super Six – Anaemena

Enyimba defender Ifeanyi Anaemena has called on his teammates to step up and deliver the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) Super Six ticket to the Club.

The People’s Elephant blew away chance to wrap up the qualification earlier when they failed to beat Wikki Tourists in Aba Township Stadium a few weeks back.

The Usman Abdallah’s men, however, need outright win when they visit Muhammadu Dikko Stadium to face Katsina United on the last day of the league.

“We haven’t done enough as a team because we have not qualified yet until the last day,” Anaemena began.

“We are not depending on other results so we have to go to Katsina to make sure we qualify.

“It will be disheartening that after all our efforts and the tag of a big club that Enyimba commands, we then fail to qualify for the Super Six, that would be very bad and we are determined to make sure we qualify,” the concerned defender explained.

Enugu Rangers, Kano Pillars and Akwa United are the only side who have sealed their qualification for the season-ending playoffs which might hold either in Lagos or Ilorin.
