Emmanuel Osahon Weighs In On Super Falcons Recent Struggles – “We Fail To Adapt To Change”

FC Robo Queens chairman and head coach Emmanuel Osahon has insisted that failure to adapt to changes and prepare ahead is the reason behind Nigeria’s women’s national team’s recent struggles.

The Super Falcons have just one win from their last five and will face Côte d’Ivoire next February in the final qualification round of the 2022 African Women’s Cup of Nations.

When quizzed on the progress of Nigeria’s female national teams, Osahon told Sportz247: “Yeah, we are making progress. We are making serious progress. The only thing that is missing there is we fail to adapt to change. And the only thing constant in life is change.”

Despite the Super Falcon’s patchy form, Osahon is confident of Nigeria’s chances of qualifying to the 2022 AWCON at the expense of Côte d’Ivoire.

“There is no team that you can say is a threat to Nigeria except if we fail to put the right things in place. Amaju Pinnick and the NFF have done the right thing selecting coaches to recruit home-based players to make the team stronger.

“I think it’s a good move towards the right direction, the timing is what worries me. We only have December and January to prepare. The time for preparation is short.

“Cote D’Ivoire can not be a threat to us. Even the girls at home will beat Côte d’Ivoire if they are well picked. The coaches know what to do. They’ll get results.” he concluded.
