Emmanuel Emenike splashes 500, 000 on Future XI tournament in Lagos

A total of 576 players will slug it out to be part of the XI players to be selected in the maiden edition of the Emmanuel Emenike Future XI championship scheduled for Friday December 7 to Saturday December 15 at the Legacy pitch of the National Stadium Surulere Lagos.

 

 

Aside selecting the best XI marketable players at the end of the tournament, the team that emerges as overall winner of the championship will go home with the sum of 300, 000 naira while the second placed team gets 200, 000 naira.

 

Organizers of the competition have stated that the tournament will be played in a knock out format of 40 minutes per half and a total of 18 players to be registered by each participating club. The competition is opened to players of all ages.

 

The tournament will have a number of coaches and ex internationals scout players from the beginning of the championship while foreign scouts will arrive for matches being played from the semi finals of the tournament.

 

Chairman organizing committee of the tournament Uche Ugwu exclusively informed sports247.ng that the championship put together by the ex international will unearth some of the biggest young talents that will in the next couple of years rule the national team scene.

 

Renowned clubs such as Gbagada FC, Nath Boys, Yobo FC Collins Edwin will all be part of the tournament. Gbagada FC will open the tournament with a game against Kedge FC while Nath Boys will face Deprose.
