Adesina Yusuf, Head Coach of Team Lagos Male Football Team has revealed that the State will go all out for gold this time around after both male and female categories sealed thier qualification to represent Southwest in the upcoming sports festival in Delta.
The male team won Oyo by a 2-0 scoreline result while the female counterpart won 4-0 to nil.
Speaking after the game exclusively to Sports247, Adesina began his pressers with reverence to God, “We give almighty God the glory for the results of both the male and female team, we are very happy to qualify for Delta 2022 festival and we hope to make Lagos State proud and make the finals.”
“Last year we won silver for both categories but this year, we are going for Gold because Lagos State is doing very well in sport development.”
“We are happy and our players are good to go, the State government, sports commission, L.S.F.A. are ready to support all sports to make sure that we do well ahead of the upcoming festival.”
Speaking further, Adeshina reminisced on the qualification procedure, “the elimination phases were very well organized although other states gave a tough fight, we were able to show our class in a goal fest qualification games.”
“This shows the kind of sports and development we are into in Lagos State,” he ended.
