Cofine FC Sinks Akwa Startlet

Nationwide League side Cofine FC are through to the Finals of the State Aiteo Cup after defeating Akwa Startlet by a goal to nil.

A 12th minute strike from Mboutidem Charles was all that separated both sides as Cofine FC made it to their second final in a row

Cofine FC – a team based in Ikot Ekpene will be one of the state representatives when the Aiteo Cup kick starts.

It will be recalled that their last outing was cut short by Sunshine Stars and will hope to better last season’s performance.

Meanwhile, the Quarter Final match between Akwa United and Algon Boys FC which was inconclusive will be played on Friday by 10am at the main bowl of the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium behind closed doors.

The game before it was disrupted was 3 goals to nothing in favour of Algon FC as the remaining minutes will be played.
