Getafe of Spain attacking midfielder Christantus Uche has received a very comforting statement of support from the club’s management, following his recent surgery – for what was described as a serious injury – and he is now embarking on a period of rehabilitation.
Sports247 reports that Getafe’s management came out with an elaborate statement of support from their technical crew and team doctors to aid the recovery of the Super Eagles’ fringe player, who spent all of last season on loan at Crystal Palace of England.
The statement by Getafe confirmed that Uche went for surgery in Lyon, France, after suffering a knee injury during a pre-season friendly against AS Monaco on August 6th, and he will now begin a rehabilitation process to help him regain full fitness and quickly return to action.
“The club would like to convey all our encouragement and support to Christantus during this process, with the hope that his recovery progresses as well as possible, as the entire Getafe family wishes.
“The procedure proceeded normally and as planned, under the supervision of Dr. Christofer Oyola, head of the medical area of Getafe CF, and Álvaro García Zudaire, head of the physiotherapy services of the Azulón team.
“The player begins his rehabilitation process, with the full support and guidance of the club. Getafe CF will provide him with all the necessary resources for a successful recovery,” Uche’s club stated.
