According to CAF’s 2026 competition agenda, the final will be decided over two legs, with the first leg scheduled for Saturday, May 9, 2026, while the return leg will take place a week later on Saturday, May 16, 2026.
CAF said the early confirmation of the final dates aligns with its long-term calendar planning strategy, designed to enhance organisation and provide clarity for clubs, national associations, broadcasters and other key stakeholders across the continent.
The move is also expected to help participating clubs plan effectively as the competition progresses through its critical stages.
Meanwhile, the 2025/26 CAF Confederation Cup is currently at the group stage, with teams from across Africa battling for places in the knockout rounds as they continue their quest for continental silverware.
With the roadmap to the final now clearly defined, attention remains firmly on the ongoing group-stage matches as clubs position themselves for a deep run in the competition.
