CAF Confederation Cup: Aguda Strikes Again, As Rangers Win 3-1 Away

Rangers International of Enugu youngster, Godwin Aguda was again on target for The Peoples Elephant, as Coach Gbenga Ogunbote’s side won 3-1 away to Defence Force of Ethiopia in the second leg of their CAF Confederation Cup preliminaries fixture.

 

 

Sport247.ng can report that Rangers advanced to the first round 5-1 on aggregate, though Defense Force scored in the first minute from the penalty spot through Minyelu Wendimu.

Despite the early setback, Rangers never gave up, and soon restored parity in the 34th minute courtesy of nippy winger Bright Silas.

Aguda, who scored twice from the penalty spot when Rangers won the first leg 2-0 in Enugu, again put them ahead five minutes later from the spot.

Late on, The Coal City side’s substitute, Kelvin Itoya made the game safe with a third goal in the closing minutes of the contest.
