The name on all lips at Dipo Dina International Stadium in Ijebu Ode, Ogun State this past Friday was that of Bright Peter, who everyone present agreed showed huge potential for a successful football career.
Sports247 reports that the talented youngster stole the heart of media personalities, officials, spectators and administrators present with his stunning goal that came against OOA Football Academy.
It was the fifth game for his history chasing team, CATS Boys FC of Lagos, at the prestigious Hedra Super League in the ancient city of Awujale, where Bright Peter is now a household name.
Although his goal was only good enough to fetch his team a 1-1 draw in the exciting game, the Lagos-based youth prodigy put up a sterling personal show that brought everyone to their feet with a thunderous round of applause.
CATS’ coach, Sunday Odetayo and the club’s owner, Alhaji Agboola Dabiri will now be counting on Bright to deliver another sizzling performance in their last two games of the ongoing competition.
Having already won three and lost one before Friday’s draw, Coach Sunday will hope for a better result this Friday against FIMA FC, starting 9:30am at the same venue.
They will then wrap up the first round of the league’s campaign and highly challenging competition with a potentially decisive fixture against Akoment FC on May 29th, when all eyes will again be on Bright to make a difference for his team.
