Bayelsa State Set Up Committees For NNL Super 4

Host of the Nigeria National League Super four playoff, Bayelsa State has constituted six local organizing committees to oversee the smooth running and successful organization of the season-ending four-team tournament that will produce the overall champion of the 2021/2022 season in the most important tier league in Nigeria.

The six committees are Stadium /Facility with four members, to be chaired by the Director of the State Sports Council, Sir Braveman Wodi.

2. Entertainment Committee with Mrs. Grace Alagoa, Acting Permanent Secretary Bayelsa State Ministry of Sports as chairperson.

3. Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Bayelsa State chapter’s chairman Mr.Alambo Datonye heads the Media Committee and will be assisted by Amar Ignis, NNL director of Media and Communications.

4. Medical Committee is led by Mr.Fubara Owonaro.

5. Mr. Ebiki Timitimi chairman of Bayelsa United heads the Accommodation Committee

6. While, Barrister Poubeni Ogun, Chairman of the State Football Association is in charge of the Technical Committee.

The Committees are to work hand in hand with the NNL management team led by Mr.Emmanuel Adesanya and report to the Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Hon. Daniel Igali.

The Playoff that will feature the four winners in the two conferences (North and South) of four abridged divisions will take place at the Samson Siasia Stadium in the state’s capital, Yenagoa.

Host team Bayelsa United, Bendel Insurance of Benin, El-Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri, and Doma United will tango for the prestige NNL title, beginning on Wednesday,16 November 2022.

The lots for the Super 4 Draw will hold tonight in Yenagoa. The four teams are expected to pick their lot to know who will play each other first.
