Nigerian-born former world heavyweight boxing champion, Anthony Oluwafemi Olaseni Joshua could end up winning a belt of 100% pure gold should he defeat fellow-Brit, Tyson Fury during their highly anticipated fight in November.
Sports247 gathered that, although both boxers are considered beyond their prime and will jot have any major sanctioned belt at stake during the fight, the promoter and hosts are ready to give them something symbolic.

In effect, the winner of the long-awaited fight will go home with a golden belt as a souvenir to treasure forever, while the loser will also get ‘something sumptuous’ to relish for a life time as well.
A report by UK’s SunSport adds, “Ring Magazine have unveiled the ‘Fight of Britain’ belt – commissioned by Saudi boxing chief Turki Alalshikh. They say it will be 100 percent gold.
“Pictures show a red, white and blue strap embellished with Union Jacks and lashings of precious metal. The prospect of posing for the cameras with it draped over a shoulder may be a small thrill for the two fighters.
“The biggest incentives heading into this showdown are quite tangible. This battle of Britain is expected to smash the Wembley gate record when tickets go on sale.”
