Al Hilal terminate the contract of former CHAN Eagles star

Ariwachukwu Emmanuel’s contract has been terminated by Sudanese side Al Hilal following a shock exit in the CAF Confederations Cup and the politics ravaging Sudanese football, Sport247 report.

The exit from the continental competition also prompted the exit of club president, Ashraf Seed Ahmed Hussein – which made the club management to take further action.

Three foreign players; Ariwachukwu, Senegal’s Boubacar Diarra and Geovane Maranhao of Brazil were affected – as they were sacked by the club management.

Ariwachukwu joined the Sudanese club from Akwa United on a 2-year contract in October, 2018.

The former Niger Tornadoes defender was a member of Nigeria’s Super Eagles B side which lost to Ghana in the final of the West African Football Union (WAFU) Cup in 2017 and was also part of the Akwa United team which won Nigeria’s Cup competition in 2015 and 2017.
