Agara Tasks Karate Board Of New Constitution

Karate Federation of Nigeria (KFN) president, Honorable Silas Agara has disclosed that his main target for the start of 2019 is to ensure that the executive committee rolls out a constitution for the governing body.

Sports247.ng reports that, towards the realization of his set objective, Agara has charged his fellow board members to bring up ideas that can help them host competitions that will boost the sport in the country.

Agara also urged the board members to ensure that a new constitution with specified guidelines for their karate federation, in accordance with required standard is made available early in 2019.

Agara, who is also the deputy governor of Nasarawa State, said all the board members must remove the spirit of self-interest, to be proactive and make the NKF a public attraction.

He added that his desire as president of the KFN is to bring togetherness among his members and implore positive strategies that will place their federation events among the priority sports in the country.

While congratulating the sports ministry for hosting a peaceful National Sports Festival, Agara also hailed the KFN board for proper coordination of their events and ensuring good performances by their athletes.

He then made known the federation’s intention to host the UFAK Zone 3 championship in 2019 if they are financially supported.

Agara concluded: “We call for support from corporate bodies, individuals and the general public.
“We also want them to always visit karate competition venues to share in the glamour that Karate adds to the soul.”
