The Super Eagles will play two international friendly matches away to Poland and Portugal next month, with both matches taking place under floodlights in magnificent venues of the European countries.
Sports247 gathered that their first match will be against Poland, starting at 8:45pm in Warsaw on June 3rd, while the second game is versus Portugal and will kick-off at the same time in Leiria on June 10th.

Both games will offer the Super Eagles opportunities of reenacting memories of their confrontations with the two teams, which they have met only once before in similar friendlies years back.
Nigeria’s only previous clash with Poland came on March 23, 2018 and it took a penalty kick by Eagles’ captain of the day, Victor Moses to get a surprise 1-0 away win for the West Africans.
The Eagles will, however, be all out to get their pound of flesh against Portugal six days later, as the Iberians won the only previous encounter between them 4-0 in Lisbon on November 17, 2022.
Incidentally, that match was also a build-up test for Portugal towards the FIFA World Cup, ahead of which they proved lethal without Cristiano Ronaldo in action, as a brace by Bruno Fernández as well as one each from Goncalo Ramos and Joao Mario gave them victory.
A media statement from the communications department of Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) revealed that the Eagles will have the full complement of their top stars for both friendlies in June, with many of the country’s first team players excluded from the Unity Cup next week in London.
“The three-time African champions, who have been drawn to face Madagascar, Tanzania and Guinea Bissau in the race to next summer’s Africa Cup of Nations finals, will tackle hosts Poland at the PGE Narodowy Stadium in Warsaw on Wednesday, 3rd June ((kick-off, 8.45pm Poland time).
“(They will then fly) to Portugal for that country’s last match before this year’s FIFA World Cup finals. (The friendly will take place) at the Estadio Dr. Magalhães Pessoa in Leiria on Wednesday, 10th June (kickoff, 8.45pm Portugal time),” the NFF’s media statement added.
