Arokodare, who was dropped to the bench following the team’s recent 3–1 defeat to Liverpool FC, was introduced in the 74th minute with Wolves chasing an equaliser.

The 25-year-old wasted no time in making his presence felt. Just three minutes after coming on, he found the back of the net with a composed finish to level the score and swing momentum back in Wolves’ favour.

Speaking after the match, Edwards highlighted the striker’s influence and composure in a high-pressure situation.

“Tolu came on and influenced the game really well and got his goal.”

Arokodare nearly completed a dramatic turnaround moments later. In the 79th minute, he rose highest to meet a cross, but his powerful header crashed against the woodwork, denying him a late winner and forcing both sides to settle for a share of the spoils.

Despite not starting, the Nigerian forward’s performance underlined his importance to the team, offering a timely reminder of his attacking threat and ability to deliver in crucial moments.

His impact off the bench could strengthen his case for a return to the starting lineup as Wolves continue their campaign.
