Just five minutes later, Nigeria doubled their advantage. Victor Osimhen was on hand in the 25th minute to tap home from close range, once again benefiting from the creativity of Akor Adams, as the Super Eagles tightened their grip on the contest.

Nigeria picked up where they left off after the break, extending their lead in the 47th minute. This time, Lookman turned provider, delivering a precise assist that Osimhen converted with another simple right-footed finish to complete his brace.

The rout was completed in the 75th minute when Akor Adams got on the scoresheet. Moses Simon initiated the move with a key pass before Lookman supplied the assist, allowing Adams to finish clinically and cap a superb all-round performance.

The victory marks another milestone for Nigeria, who have now progressed beyond the group stages for the 19th time in AFCON history. It also represents the first time the Super Eagles have won their opening four matches at the Africa Cup of Nations, underlining their growing momentum.
