Michelle Alozie Eager To Start New Life In Chicago

Chicago Stars Women’s Club of the USA’s winter signing, Michelle Alozie, has disclosed that she is eager to start a new life with the team and in the city where they are based, Sports247 reports.

Although the Super Falcons’ right-back is yet to join the squad, she is already thinking big about the prospects of starting a fresh chapter in her career and wants to make the best of it.

Alozie warmly declared that she is excited after making the switch, even though her new club actually finished bottom of the 2025 National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) table.

They also conceded the league’s most goals (54), but Alozie is already hoping to play a key role in helping them improve in all departments, as her versatile abilities allow her to line out in defence and attack.

The 28-year-old medical graduate, who joined from Houston Dash on a transfer fee of $40,000 in the middle of last week, will also bring much-needed experience into a squad that got only 20 points in 26 matches last season.

She retorted, “I’m excited to be starting a new chapter with the Stars. I’m looking forward to meeting the team, connecting with them on and off the field, and seeing our fans, both in the city and in the stands. See you very soon, Chicago!”

Alozie, who helped Nigeria win the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations early this year in Morocco, signed a three-year contract that will run through the 2028 season, much to the delight of the Chicago Stars’ general manager, Richard Feuz.

While looking at Alozie’s high level of exposure and international experience, Feuz enthused that the new signing, who played 80 matches across all competitions during five seasons with Houston, will be a positive influence in Chicago.

“Michelle’s proven ability at both ends of the pitch, experience and leadership skills will be valuable assets for our team over the next few years.

“We are excited to welcome her to Chicago as we continue to build for 2026,” Feuz stated in a highly enthusiastic press release.
