Doma United of Gombe’s coach, Najib Mabo has admitted that his players will have to work hard in order to defeat Sporting Lagos FC this Wednesday at the Nigeria National League (NNL) Super-4 in Ikenne, Ogun State.
Sports247 reports that Coach Najib also acknowledged that Doma United and Sporting Lagos enter the midweek fixture at Remo Stars Stadium on level ground, as they both won their opening game of the competition with the same result – 1-0.

He noted further that they are both former campaigners of the top-flight Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL), which adds more talking points to tension ahead of kick-off.
He pointed out, “Sporting Lagos won their first match, and we also did the same. So, our match on Wednesday will be very, very tough, and we have to work hard to beat them.
“The two clubs have played in the NPFL before, which means we should respect each other better. Now that we are prepared for them, I believe we will win, by the grace of God.”
The amiable tactician, who stressed that he wants to cut a niche for himself outside the legacy of his father, Ismaila Mabo, also took a look further ahead into next season and declared that Doma will not be relegated again.
“That will never happen. Relegation will not come our way, by the grace of God. We have our own target – and that is the continental ticket; which I believe we will get, by the grace of God.
“We will not be there to complete the numbers. We will not be there to participate only … we are going there to compete.
“By the grace of God, we are going to do well next season in the NPFL. That’s why we want to do well in the Super-4 aa well, so that we can build up our confidence,” Najib posited.
