Zambia coach Moses Sichone has unveiled his final 28-man squad for the 2025 TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations, confirming a strong mix of established internationals and exciting newcomers for the tournament in Morocco.
The squad features several first-time call-ups, including Matthews Banda, Given Kalusa, Pascal Phiri, and Zanaco forward Eliya Mandanji, all rewarded for impressive domestic campaigns.
Sichone has also refreshed the goalkeeping department with a bold selection of three uncapped players — Lawrence Mulenga, Francis Mwansa, and Willard Mwanza.
Leading the overseas contingent is star striker Patson Daka, who remains central to the Chipolopolo attack. Austria-based Jack Kalichi Lahne, who scored on his debut during the last international window, is also included alongside European-based talents Joseph Liteta, Kings Kangwa, and Lameck Banda.
Zambia will hold a final preparation camp in Murcia, Spain from 11–17 December, with Sichone expecting full squad integration after 15 December when foreign-based players become available.
Chipolopolo will battle hosts Morocco (21 December), Mali (26 December), and Comoros (30 December) in what is widely considered one of the competition’s toughest groups.
Two standout performers from Zambia’s recent U17 World Cup run — Jonathan Kalimina and Abel Nyirongo — have been placed on standby for the Morocco finals.
