Atalanta of Italy winger, Ademola Lookman was awash on social media all through Tuesday night into early Wednesday, following his superlative performance against Chelsea in the UEFA Champions League, Sports247 reports.

Several posts online highlighted how the Super Eagles’ star dazzled, dribbled, bullied and bamboozled Chelsea’s defence, even had a goal ruled out, as his team ran away 2-1 winners on the night in Bergamo.
Lookman appeared back at his very best, as Atalanta stormed back from a goal down to snatch their second ever win in eight games against English opposition, while Chelsea’s winless away run in the UCL stretched to five matches.
Atalanta almost scored after just six minutes, when Lookman weaved his way through the Chelsea defence and forced Robert Sánchez into a save at his near post.
Later on, Sánchez was helpless when Lookman got a loose ball in the box and placed it well, but Josh Acheampong stopped it from going in.
The Nigerian star’s form on the night hit a highpoint when he eventually got the ball into the net after just eight minutes of the restart, but an offside call cut his celebration short.
A report by Tribal Football rounded off: “De Ketelaere drove into the penalty area as Chelsea defenders backed off, and his strike deflected off both Marc Cucurella and Sánchez en route to the back of the net.
“Carnesecchi stayed resolute to deny Garnacho and James late on, closing out just a third home win in eight for Atalanta, as Chelsea suffered a first UCL defeat since Matchday 1.”
