Caleb’s move comes on the heels of a dominant 2024–25 campaign at the University of Alaska Anchorage, where he emerged as one of the most explosive young sprinters in Division II.
The 19-year-old rewrote conference history, stamped his name in African and Nigerian U20 record books, and established himself as one of the most complete prospects on the continent.
The highlight of his indoor season was a blistering 6.57s in the 60m, a performance that once stood as the African U20 record, alongside a 20.82s 200m that shattered both GNAC and school all-time marks.
His championship brilliance saw him sweep the 60m and 200m titles, finishing as the highest individual scorer at the GNAC Championships.
Caleb carried that momentum into the outdoor campaign, where he clocked 10.11s in the 100m and 20.50s in the 200m, breaking long-standing conference records and securing another sprint double.
The former 400m specialist has evolved into a versatile elite sprinter, capable of delivering world-class times across the short sprints.
Now at LSU Track & Field, a program renowned for molding global superstars, expectations have skyrocketed. With access to world-class coaching, elite training partners, and a competitive SEC environment, Caleb is tipped for a major breakthrough on the biggest collegiate stage.
As the countdown to the 2026 NCAA indoor season begins, analysts believe this move could mark the moment the Nigerian prodigy announces himself to the world.
