Yanga Coach Patrick Mabedi Confident of CAF Champions League Progress

Dar es Salaam – Young Africans (Yanga) interim coach Patrick Mabedi has expressed strong confidence that his side will secure a spot in the group stage of the CAF Champions League, as they prepare to face Silver Strikers of Malawi tomorrow at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium.

Speaking to the media ahead of the crucial fixture, Mabedi acknowledged the magnitude of the challenge but maintained that his team is ready to deliver a winning performance.

“It is a difficult game that has not yet been certain,” said Mabedi. “But we have planned to ensure that we win it. The pressure will always be there, just as it is for our opponents.”

The coach emphasized that his players are in excellent condition and focused on making the most of every opportunity they create during the match.

“My players are in good shape and have promised to make good use of every chance in tomorrow’s game,” he added.

For Yanga to advance to the next stage, the Tanzanian champions must record a victory by at least two clear goals (2–0 or more).

The atmosphere in Dar es Salaam is already charged with anticipation, as fans rally behind the Jangwani giants in their quest to continue their impressive continental run.

A win tomorrow would not only secure Yanga’s passage to the group stage but also reaffirm their growing reputation as one of East Africa’s most formidable football clubs.
