The President of Island All Stars Club (IASC), Chief Okeke Kenneth has revealed that this year’s football bonding competition among its members has set a record by attracting viewers in 87 countries of the world.
While relishing the excitement and passion that heralded the commencement of action in the competition last Saturday in Lekki area of Lagos, Chief Okeke revealed in an exclusive interview with Sports247 that the day’s matches were watched live by viewers in United States of America, United Kingdom and Australia, among many others, thereby setting a record in terms of followership for the club’s annual events.

He thanked Sports247 for making the global importation possible through live streaming of all the matches and enthused that the impact has made Island All Stars get stronger in terms of their ideals as well as a cordial unit with diverse branches.
Okeke added, “Island AllStars is a family, social, and friendship club. We organise this competition to end one of our sporting years.
“This is what unites the club very well, and I don’t think there’s anywhere else in the world that you can get this kind of structure that we have at Island All Stars.”
He went on to provide details of the growing impact being made by the bonding, leisure and recreation group, which he said has an expansive yet very well-organised structure being run by the club’s Sports Management Committe (SMC).
“Each team parades like 90 members under the supervision of our SMC. That’s why everyone can attest to the fact that things are running very well, while the bonding and friendship keep going.
“We do this by segmenting our members into units. This is done so that they can get to know one another and fit themselves into the club’s structure.
“This I believe has imparted positively on the value of friendship and the lives of our members at Island All Stars,” Okeke pointed out.
He concluded by expressing hope for an even stronger impact by the club in 2026, while enthusing that the far-reaching coverage they achieved on the first day of the Werblack Wines Synergy Cup will further set IASC on the global pedestal.
“For the first time in the history of Island All Stars, we have a tournament that is this loud, and the whole world is involved.
“Our members in Australia, United States, UK and from more than 87 countries all over the world are watching us live, courtesy of Sports247,” Okeke revealed
