Osimhen’s remarkable achievement came despite Galatasaray crashing out of the competition in the Round of 16, highlighting just how influential the Super Eagles forward was throughout the tournament.
The former Napoli star delivered standout performances against top European sides, earning Player of the Match honours in games against Liverpool FC, FK Bodø/Glimt, AFC Ajax and Juventus FC.
Several other players ended the season with three MOTM awards each, including Mbappé, Anthony Gordon, Charles De Ketelaere and Francisco Trincão, but none could match Osimhen’s tally of four.
Beyond the individual awards, the 27-year-old also reached another major milestone during the campaign by becoming the highest-scoring Nigerian in UEFA Champions League history with 12 career goals.
Osimhen’s performances this season continue to strengthen his reputation as one of the most dangerous forwards in European football and further underline his importance to both club and country.
The 2025/2026 UEFA Champions League season will come to N end of May 30 2023 where the grand finale will beat Puskas Arena, Budapest between Arsenal and Paris Saint Germain, the defending Champions.
