“We still have the fighting spirit,” the Algerian tactician declared. “We respect Benin Republic, but we are going into this game to win. The players understand the importance of this match and are ready to give their all.”
Amrouche noted that the current group standings give his side a realistic chance of moving up the table if they can take maximum points in their remaining games. He admitted that while the campaign has not been perfect, there is still plenty to fight for.
“The table is still open,” he continued. “Anything can happen at this stage of the qualifiers. What matters is that we keep our focus, believe in ourselves, and play with unity.”
The coach, who has been working tirelessly to rebuild the Rwandan team’s confidence, praised the players for their discipline during training, highlighting their resilience despite limited resources and tough competition in the group.
“We have worked with what we have,” Amrouche said. “Every player knows his role, and there is a strong sense of commitment. We might not have big names, but we have big hearts.”
He concluded by urging fans to rally behind the Amavubi, assuring that the team will fight until the final whistle.
“We need the support of every Rwandan,” he added. “Together, we can make something special happen.”
