Ajax football club U17 was crowned champion of the 2nd Edition of Mama of Africa scouting invitational football tournament held at Nawarudeen playing ground, Olose Ifo Ogun State with eight (8) teams invited after defeating Ultimate FC U17 in the final.
The tourney kicked off on Thursday 18th September, 2025 in a knockout format sees Ajax FC U17 claim victorious over Favour-Rite football academy with a lone goal scored by Austin. Pairing against the maiden edition finalist, Femmco FC was predicted as a journey of no return but Akpan Austin brace was enough to settle for a 2-2 draw and won 8-7 via penalty shootout.

The final game took place in a vibrant atmosphere at N.U.D playing ground, where a new champion emerges after a series of impressive performances from both sides.
Ultimate FC U17 dominates possession and lacks the creation of several scoring opportunities in the final third as the game ended goalless in the first half.
Ajax FC U17 took the lead in the 46th minutes with Micheal Peter pounding efforts was fruitful. He then capitalised on defensive error to assist Akpan Austin for the second goal ten minutes later. Austin took his tally to four goals from 3 games and earned the highest goal scorer in the competition.
