El Gouna FC is an Egyptian FA club based in Gouna, Hurghada, Red Sea. The club was founded in 2003 and currently plays in the Egyptian Premier League
The duo Obinna Okoronwo and Samuel Amusan join the rank of other Nigerians like Hafiz Ibrahim, Taiwo Oripelaye, Favour Akem (on loan from Cleopatra) Tolulope Samuel Ojo, Samuel Amusan and Shamsu Kabeer who also featured for the Egyptian Premier League side.

El Gouna FC with a great history that motivated the Gounies in pursuit for more success coin from their first league season in the Egyptian Fourth Division back in 2003–04, where they achieved their first title and secured the promotion to the Egyptian Third Division. In the next season of the Third Division, 2004–05, El Gouna accomplished the same feat and promoted to the Egyptian Second Division. In the 2008–09 season of the Second Division, the club managed to promote to the Egyptian Premier League for the first time in the club’s history.
The Coach Reda Shehata, who has been on rescue mission with the team since 2018 from the Club Manager to a Caretaker coach, will look forward to achieving more successes next season.
