12 Teams Battle For Super Cup In Ogun

No fewer than twelve teams are expected to take part in the Super Cup scheduled to kick off on 24 April, 2023 at the Totowu mini stadium, Igbesa, Ado Odo-Ota, Ogun state.

The competition is put together by Excellent Sports in conjunction with Hon Gbenga Agogo.

Chairman Organising Committee, Ahmed Idowu told sports 247.ng that the competition has received attention of club owners within and outside Ogun state and urged the interested clubs to come for their registration forms before the week runs out.

“We have started preparation for Super Cup in Totowu town. I am happy with the responses of our club owners but we still need more clubs for registration. Our target is twelve teams and once we get the numbers we would close the registration forms,” he said.

Idowu said this year’s edition would be tough and assured the participants good officiating and maximum security.

He also reminded the participating teams increment in prize money saying that outstanding players in the tournament would also be rewarded in the closing ceremony.

“We are not going to disclose our prize money for now but i believe that we would give reasonable amount of money to the winners with trophy and medals. We would also give gift items to the outstanding players so i expect all the players to give their best throughout the competition,” he said.
